Snowy mountains and remote cabins make for great backdrops for hair-raising thrillers and vacations gone wrong, but we’re more interested in reading about cozy home swaps holiday A chance reunion with a childhood ex occurred in a bar in my hometown. We scoured our bookshelves to find the best holiday romance books. Whether you’re looking for a light-hearted storyline to distract you from the busyness of the holidays or you desperately need a break from a murder mystery, these holiday romance novels will help you get through the new year.

Here we go, fans holiday! This festive romance novel tells the story of best friends Holly and Ivy, who swap holiday plans at Christmas but find love in the most unexpected of places. Holly will take over Ivy’s cozy cabin rental in upstate New York (she’s having an Amanda Woods moment) while Ivy jets off to Hawaii for Holly’s honeymoon. 8. How my neighbor stole Christmas by Megan Quinn
This holiday novel features two of our favorite romance tropes: enemies to lovers and fake dates. Neighbors Cole and Storey are Christmas rivals who fight against each other to win the town’s Christmas Kringle competition at all costs – even if it means flirting (or kissing) with their enemies.

Molly and Andrew have been friends for years and that’s it, at least for now.
