Ugli mom cries after receiving sweet message from kindergarten teacher

Less than a week ago, my five-year-old had her first day of kindergarten. I held it together and prepared to get out of the car, watching her walk into school carrying a backpack as big as her body, ready to enter a whole new world. When my husband and I got back to the car, I cried.

“I have to go back and pick her up!” I sobbed. “I miss her!”

After my brief time together, I took a breath and knew she was in good hands and ready for new adventures. Even so, the transition from preschool to kindergarten can be very emotional for any parent. Thankfully, most teachers know this and want to help their parents.

A mum has shared how her child’s teacher comforted her worried mind with a special note that left her “crying ugly”.

Mom Tavia Wade shares a story about the emotional impact of sending her twin daughters to kindergarten and how the girls’ teacher sent her a heartwarming message that captured her emotions What a high.

The note was accompanied by a tissue, and Tavia warned her followers, “I dare you not to cry when I read this.”

The note included a sweet poem written by the teacher to help parents adjust to the transition of sending their children to school for a full day.

“Today when you enter my room, I will give you a wink and a smile because I know how hard it is to leave and that your children must stay,” Tavia recited.

“You have been with them for many years and have been a loving guide, but now, alas, it is time to leave them with me,” she continued. “Know that as you drive away, tears may be streaming down your cheeks; I will love them like my own children and help them learn and grow.

“So take heart and cry no more, for I will love them and accept them when you leave them on my doorstep,” the poem concludes.

“My husband and I couldn’t even lift our heads until we were halfway home; we lived a block from school,” she admits. “We both cried uncontrollably.”

After her video went viral, several teachers and parents shared their thoughts on the heartfelt message.

“I promise, we really love your kids as our own,” one teacher wrote.

Another said, “When I say I love my students like they are my own children, I really mean it. Good days, bad days I don’t care, I love every day.

“Teacher…every word is true! Enjoy every moment of school…getting them off to college (starting 2nd grade next week) is 😳😩😭,” one teacher wrote.

How lucky parents are to have teachers who truly love their children as much as they love themselves!
