Mom discovers she’s pregnant after deciding to have baby

Finding out you’re pregnant can be very exciting and exciting. This life-changing news can trigger many different emotions, but for the most part, women should hide their negative emotions.

That’s why it’s so important to have people like Michaela Teig Dunc, who shared a video on Tiktok showing her tearful, distraught reaction to learning she was pregnant. The video has since been viewed more than 1.6 million times.

Michaela and her husband had three children and had planned to have a baby, but an unexpected pregnancy disrupted their plans.

Mikaela’s immediate reaction after taking a pregnancy test was first shown on TikTok.

“I don’t know what to do,” she said through tears. “I didn’t expect that at all.”

Thankfully, her best friend was there to comfort her.

“It’s all going to be okay in the end,” her friend said, giving her a big hug.

“I know, but it doesn’t feel like it right now,” Michaela said.

Michaela expresses emotions that many women may be feeling, but doesn’t necessarily encourage them to share.

“I wasn’t excited, I was scared,” she told her sister. “I’ve been busy all day… This shouldn’t have happened… It wasn’t in my life plan.”

While her friends and family offer words of congratulations and excitement throughout the film, they don’t allay her anxiety.

Even if you are in a supportive relationship and/or already have a child, an unplanned pregnancy can be complicated and scary.

Pregnancy can have a significant impact on the mother’s health. Common complications include high blood pressure, gestational diabetes, preeclampsia, anxiety and depression. This is no joke and it’s okay to worry about the potential impact on your health!

One more thing: you now have an extra child to worry about. A complete person!

No matter how you feel about raising another child, finances alone can be enough to withstand some stress—the latest USDA report estimates that the average parent spends between $12,350 and $13,900 per year raising children.

Commenters appreciated Michaela for sharing her experience and illuminating an important topic. Many people shared their personal experiences and reassured her that just because she’s not excited about the news doesn’t mean you won’t be a good, loving mother.
