Number one was fun, but boo here comes number two! Wondering what to expect next? Read on!
Still Do The Fun Things
You found out you’re pregnant again! Now, you will have more blessings on the way so let’s get started. Now that you have your second child, you know what to do and what not to do but don’t skip all of the fun things that you did with the first child, like planning the nursery, taking professional baby bump photos, and newborn pics. Choose what is most important to you and do it. They will be looking for their photos compared to their big siblings as they grow. It’s important that you show them now that they are just as important to you as the firstborn.
“My well-behaved first born gave me the confidence to be a good mom. My wild-child second kid taught me not to judge other mothers.”
Quick Birth – Not So Fast
Don’t believe the hype that your second and subsequent births will be quicker and easier. It really depends on the person. I was one that was in labor for three days with each child. Those who had easy births after the first, you are so blessed!
C-Section
Just because you had a Caesarean section, also known as C-section with the first child no longer means that you have to have another C-section with your subsequent children. Talk to your doctor and discover your actions.
Give Yourself 15 minutes per kid
Once the baby is born, just to leave the house will take longer than it did before. Plan to take 15 minutes per child as a time cushion to get wherever you are going. If you have to be somewhere at 9 a.m. with two children, and it takes 10 minutes to drive there, plan to strap them in their car seats by 8:20 a.m. I can’t tell you how many times you will run back and forth because you forgot something. Try to pack their diaper bags and school bags the night before.
