Calling all Funko fans and sesame street Stans – Big news for you today. It’s been a while since Funko released a Pop related to the beloved children’s TV show, but that’s all about to change. Horror Mom can exclusively reveal that Funko is launching a brand new series sesame street Dad…today! That’s right; the new series will be available on Funko.com starting August 28, 2024.
Of course, fans know that this isn’t the toy brand’s first attempt at creating figures based on iconic characters from the long-running series. Funko first announced its partnership with Sesame Workshop in 2014 (can you believe that was ten years ago? wilderness.) Create a range of vinyl figures, starting with Super Grover. The following year brought Bert, Ernie, Cookie Monster, Oscar the Grouch, and Mr. Snufflepagos (my personal favorite). Then, in 2016, Big Bird, Elmo, Grover and Count Von Conte. In 2017, fans got the Herry Monster Funko Pop thanks to the toy company’s Specialty line.
Finally, another wave of sesame soda came. Get your first look at the adorable new vinyl figures below.

Zippity Zapu! Everyone’s favorite fairy in training can now join the ranks of other fairies sesame street Dad, we all know how much she loves spending time with her friends. (Her dad doesn’t actually levitate when happy like he does in the show, but use your imagination!) The vinyl doll stands approximately 4.3 inches tall and sells for $12.
Big bird in the nest
If you’ve caught Funko’s previous nestless Big Bird Pop, now’s your chance to catch this feathered friend right at home. Here, he’s sitting in his large nest, which fans know is located behind Sesame Street No. 123, next to Oscar the Grouch’s trash can. Pop even includes Big Bird’s teddy bear Radar. The vinyl figure is approximately 6.8 inches tall (not eight feet two inches like the “real life” anthropomorphic canary) and sells for $30.

This is no ordinary Cookie Monster – this is Alistair Cookie’s Cookie Monster, his alter ego hosted by Monster Theater. Just a glimpse of his signature British smoking jacket and tie as he sits in his elegant armchair. The Pop is approximately 4 inches tall and sells for $12.
Elmo and Tango
Elmo Funko pop? Amazing. Elmo Funko Pop and his adorable puppy Tango? Even better! Not long after sesame street Fans fell in love with this pup when she debuted in the 2021 animated special Furry Friends Forever: Elmo gets a puppy and join sesame street In Season 52. The Elmo and Tango vinyl figures are approximately 3.7 inches tall and sell for $12.
Funko’s new sesame sticks are now available on Funko.com. So it’s time to add Abby Cadabby, Big Bird (in his nest), Cookie Monster who moonlights as Alistair Biscuit, and tango-playing Elmo to your family’s collection. Or grab them and hide them under the tree on Christmas morning.
