Actress Mae Whitman has announced the birth of her first child and revealed the sweet reason for naming the baby.
“I don’t want to be Bieber, but I also just gave birth to our son Miles,” she shared on Instagram, along with a photo of her newborn’s feet. “From the moment he made the first tiny sound out of his piggy mouth, we were hooked. He is the kindest, gentlest, smartest, funniest little bee and our best friend (Almost like his namesake Uncle Miles @younggoth).
The Instagram account she linked to is that of actor Miles Heizer, who plays her brother in the show Be a parent. The show aired on NBC for six seasons from 2010 to 2015.
“We are so grateful that he chose us as his parents,” she continued. She also thanked her medical team, which includes board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist Bente Kaiser, doula Caryn Fields, Moxie Birth and Huntington Hospital, And the support they received from her inner circle along the way. “We love you! We are so happy!” she added.
