Van Patten and White first met in 2022 while filming the first season of the romantic drama, in which they played on-again, off-again partners Lucy and Stephen. They initially kept a low profile but were spotted holding hands in November 2022.

In August 2024, they confirmed their romance in an interview with ABC News. A few days later, the couple attended the 2024 U.S. Open in Queens, New York, wearing stylish Ralph Lauren outfits.

Ahead of the show’s second season premiering in September 2024, Van Patten told People magazine that working with White on the show was “psychedelic,” “because we’re together in real life and he’s bigger than anyone.” People know me.

White also said that the filming gap between the first and second seasons was “very strange.”
