I’m a romance novel reader. There’s something so wonderful about these female writers, from Emily Henry to Abby Jimenez to Tia Williams, who write heartfelt dialogue and character development that hit home in the best possible way. There’s just one thing OK About a male character written by a woman. They are always haggard. They are always noble. They are also very hot.
One BookToker says he’s cracked the secret to being a great boyfriend, husband and partner – and it’s all in a book!

It all clicked for him one day when he picked up a book by romance novelist Abby Jimenez. He liked the way these people in Jimenez’s book acted, spoke and treated their loved ones, just for summer and part of your world.
“So I’m reading this romance novel, both of these incredible stories by Abby Jimenez, and I’m thinking, Wow, what a great move Justin did. I love the way he loves Emma. Oh, Daniel’s behavior is unbelievable. I love the way he loves her. Like, this is beautiful. You know, I want to have these qualities. Then I was thinking, Wait, this is it. This is it.
“If you want to learn how to love a woman, read a female author who writes romance novels, read his male characters, and watch him move. See how much he loves this woman. That’s your ticket. That’s Your ticket. I’ve cracked the code and figured out how to do this.
As women, we all collectively lament that Jay states the obvious, but for men, it’s often less obvious, especially if they don’t regularly read romance novels. Jay also pointed out that this “cheat code” for men is not a tool to use or manipulate women.
“Anyway disclaimer, if you are a mean man and you want to use this to manipulate women, this, this is not what that is. But if you want to be a good man to your woman, then do this. That’s it. Like this,” he said before praising Jimenez’s work.
“I chuckled when I read this, giggle Kicking my feet, rocking them, and just laughing in my apartment. If this is the effect these books have had on me, imagine the effect they have on the women who read them. Imagine how they have them. This is the behavior they require. This is the love they want. They giggled about it. I’m amused by this. I thought, this is it, this is it. I found it.
