American Girl releases Moana doll in time for ‘Moana 2’

Back in my time *years ago, American Girl dolls were totally historic. The OG trio—Samantha, Kirsten, and Molly—all hail from different periods of American history (1904, 1854, and 1944, respectively) and engage children through a series of books that, of course There are also dolls and their many gorgeous accessories. But over the years, American Girl has transcended its humble historical roots and allowed girls to see themselves (through contemporary characters and custom dolls) and Their favorite Disney characters. Soon, our favorite wayfinder Moana will get her own American Girl doll, just in time for the November 27 release of moana 2.

This 18-inch doll is part of a full line of toys inspired by the movie and is filled with movie-like details, from her costume – complete with floral and botanical costume details to the secret simmi hidden in the necklace given to her by her sister. Ya…oh, yes: Moana has a sister, in case you missed it – she has adorable brown eyes and curly black hair. Designed in partnership with Disney, the Moana doll embodies the same spirit of adventure and courage that our favorite village chief’s daughter embodies.

Because American Girl is American Girl, additional accessories are included to enhance playtime, including a Haku lei (traditional flower crown), a paddle, and friends Hei Hei the rooster and Pua the pig. (Obviously who will be aboard Moana’s ship this time, hooray! More Pua!)
