Tia Booth’s pregnancy announcement to husband Taylor Mock didn’t go exactly as she planned.
Sunday, August 25, former bachelor in paradise The 33-year-old star took to her Instagram Stories to hold a Q&A session with fans who were curious about some of the details surrounding her recent pregnancy announcement.
In response to a fan asking how she shared the “exciting news” of her pregnancy with Mock, Booth revealed that things didn’t go as planned.
“I tried to keep it a secret so I could surprise him and when he went to get his toenails trimmed he found the test wrapper in the trash can hahaha,” she wrote.
In a hilarious clip from the time, the reality star filmed her open bathroom trash can with the pregnancy test wrapper on top, then pulled out the test strip to show Mock a thin “positive” line appeared .
“I think it was a false alarm,” Mock says in the video, while Booth laughs.
The couple tied the knot in November 2023 and are now parents to 20-month-old son Tatum. They revealed in an Instagram video on Thursday, August 22, that they are expecting their second child.

“Brother Tatum🥹🥹,” the couple captioned the video, which was set to Wilfred’s song “Everything We Need.”
Also on Sunday, Booth answered several questions from fans, including about the gender of her upcoming child — to which she responded that the couple plans to wait until the baby is born to find out.
“We didn’t find the answer this time,” she explains in the video. “That was my idea. I just wanted to do it. This is our second child and I wanted to do it at least once.”
“Taylor doesn’t like that,” she added. “He wants to know, so I’m trying not to put him under peer pressure to let me know the answers. We’ve done genetic testing – I just haven’t opened the email. I’m just waiting for my obstetrician to let me know…. ..the result of everything.

Booth added that her only concern was that the anatomy scan would reveal the secret of the baby’s sex.
“I was worried that I would see the parts and know,” she explained. “But we’re excited to wait and find out.”
Booth said in an Instagram Q&A that she and Mock are still considering whether to give their newborn a name that starts with the letter “T.”
“Taylor felt we absolutely couldn’t leave this baby out,” she says of the naming process in the video. “He thought the kid was going to feel neglected. I think when they grow up, they realize they’re a little different.”
