We love Bindi Sue Owen, but no only Because she was named after the crocodile and her family dog. (True story!) The daughter of Terry and Steve “Crocodile Hunter” Owen, we watched her grow up and she continues to share her family’s love of animals and media through her work at Australia Zoo. So when she and husband Chandler Powell welcomed their daughter Grace Warrior in 2021 (on their first wedding anniversary!), we collectively felt like we were proud And excited aunties… But, just like aunties, we can also get feelings hurt when we don’t. For example: When people ask Irving and Powell if they want to have another child. The couple answered this question in a recent Q&A and had the perfect answer.
“How often do we get asked this question?” Owen asked, turning to her husband.
“Every day, even more,” he answered.
She went on to say she had “a lot of feelings,” but let Powell answer first.
Powell acknowledged Owen’s decade-long battle with endometriosis, which she shared with the public last year, noting that it was an “absolute miracle” that they were able to have Grace. “We love Grace so much and revel in every moment with her and our amazing little baby.”
Owen continued to elaborate, speaking with utmost grace (no pun intended) and gratitude, while still making her point clearly.
“I really appreciate everyone who is wondering if we will have another baby, but I just wanted to send this out and remember to be careful when you ask… because you never know what’s going on in someone’s life, in a family What’s going on. Everything seems fine on the outside, but on the inside, their own personal journey can be filled with chaos and challenges that you can’t even comprehend. So, while I…appreciate the kindness and kindness behind it. [the question]It’s also a very difficult question for many, many people who may not be able to have another child, or perhaps have no children at all.
She then reiterated that she and Powell were happy to have Grace, and while Grace might have a sibling one day, that likely wouldn’t be the case: Grace would most likely be their only child.
“I don’t like ‘just’ this world,” Owen observed. “She is ours one Beautiful, perfect, amazing little girl.
Irving has spoken about having more children in the past, saying people In 2023, people asking about her future family plans (or worse, telling her it’s her “responsibility” to have more kids) “break your heart.” So the fact that she was so kind in addressing the issue again is a testament to her patience.
“Let’s remember,” she concluded in her latest Q&A, “don’t ask someone if they have kids or more kids because you don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes.”
