Eminem’s daughter Hailie Jade says she ‘cried so much’ when she heard her father’s new music

Eminem’s daughter had an emotional reaction to his latest project.

Rapper Hailie Jade Scott, 51, and ex-wife Kim Scott are one and the same, she revealed during the Aug. 23 episode of her show Just a little dark The podcast featured some tracks from her father’s latest album, Death of Slim Shady (fatal blow)bringing tears to her eyes.

While discussing the August 21 music video for “Somebody Save Me” starring Jelly Roll, Hailey, 28, told co-host Brittany Ednie, “I Watched it” [its] Totally, I don’t think I can do this anymore.

“I cry every time I hear this song,” she continued. “Literally, Brittany played this little commercial segment today, and I was like, ‘Can you say no? Like, do you want me to cry?’

In “Somebody Save Me,” Eminem detailed his battle with addiction and apologized to his children — including Alaina Marie Scott, 31, and Stevie Laine Scott, 22, who also shared the song with ex-girlfriend Kim – has an entire verse dedicated to Hailey.

“Hailey, I’m sorry/I know I didn’t make it to your first guitar gig,” he raps on the emotional song, in which he appears to reflect on what he may have missed due to his addiction issues major milestone. “Didn’t walk you down the aisle / Missed the birth of your first child / Your first podcast, read on, honey / I’m so proud of how you turned out.”

Hailey told Edney that the song, as well as “Temporary,” featuring Skylar Gray (the rapper said he wrote the song for Hailey and features recordings of her as a toddler), elicited an emotional response .

“I mean, I can’t,” she said. “I think I cried for both songs, especially ‘Temporary.'”

“But I will say, watching the video and listening to the songs, I feel like my parents did a great job growing up,” Hailey continued. “I didn’t realize how bad it was at the time, but now, as an adult, in hindsight, it’s just horrific.”

That’s why she got so “emotional” while listening to the songs, Haley explained: “Just feeling like this could happen.”

“Obviously that’s the point of the song,” she said. “But I just want to say, if you lose an addict or a loved one, I feel bad for you, and yeah, that’s how I feel.”

Reflecting more specifically on the “Someone Save Me” video — which features home videos of Hailey and her sisters as kids — she continued, “It’s a great video and it’s fun to see clips of us as kids, Even ‘Mockingbird,’ but I can’t even hear it anymore without crying.

“The older I get,” Haley continues, “the less chance I get to listen to these songs, but it’s fun to watch these clips — just not in that context.”
