Everything About Hailee Steinfeld’s New Bob Hairstyle (Exclusive)

Hailee Steinfeld sent fans into a frenzy on June 22 when she posted her first photo since April 4 on her Instagram grid.

In this photo, she shocked her fans by showing off her bob hairstyle for the first time.

The actress wrote: “Hi my love!!! One minute has passed. Life is so great. I will give you all the BS details soon…”

Now some of those details have emerged.

Over the next few weeks, Stanfield teased and launched a new labor of love, Beau Society, a newsletter she uses to connect with her audience on a deeper level. “I think this is a direct clue that we can use to unravel topics far beyond what I could glean in an Instagram caption,” she wrote in the first part.

Fast forward to the third issue of the newsletter, and Stanfield updated fans on the decision behind her major hair change, as well as photos of her and hairstylist Mara Rozak during the transformation.

Steinfeld celebrated her Neutrogena partnership in an interview with People magazine, saying she never remembers her hair ever being so short.

“I was looking through old photos with my mom, and there was a photo of me — I’m not kidding, I must have been nine or 10 months old in this photo — and my mom had cut out one of her ponytail [extensions] On to my head. So at 10 months, the girl has already grown hair. I’ve never had hair this short,” she shared.

So over the years, the only change to Stanfield’s hair was the occasional fringe.

“It started out great, but it didn’t end well,” she said. “I absolutely love bangs and it breaks my heart to admit that I don’t believe they suit me.”

Stanfield also experimented with color switching, which she described as “an interesting slippery slope.”

For years, she’d debated, “What can I do with my hair, no bangs, no dye?” but wasn’t ready to take the big swing.

so far. “I finally got to the point where I said, ‘Okay, I’m ready to make some changes,'” Stanfield said. “I love my long hair, but I now carry it around like it’s heavy.” I wear it out more than I wear it out, and I’m constantly trying to get rid of it. Why don’t I try something new?

She then calls on Rozak to work her magic. At first, Rozak slowly moved up, she said, eventually cutting her hair into a high-low cascade. But Stanfield is prepared to go even shorter. “Once the error is discovered, it’s game over.”

Stanfield loved the result because she was “shorter” from the initial cut.

“Who knows what’s going to happen from here,” she said.

“She’s always been very conscious of what she’s putting on her skin, and I’ve always realized and appreciated that,” Stanfield shared.

“I always have these moments where I realize I’m not 12 anymore – I’m 27 – and thank God she taught me everything she knows, directly or indirectly, because I’m in the A stage in life that is important to me.
