Warning: spoilers rise to fame Season 3 Episode 6 is coming soon.
rise to fame The season continues with some iconic celebrity relatives.
In the sixth episode of Season 3, which aired on August 14, Danny found himself the infamous guesser. After getting help from Sean, the two became convinced that Mackenzie’s relative was Blake Shelton. However, when this suspicion turned out to be wrong, Danny returned home.
After shocking the crowd and leaving fans watching at home, Danny (real name Nyle Zayas) revealed that his uncle is Grammy Award-winning singer Marc Anthony.
In an exclusive interview with People , Nair explains in detail what happened and why he’s so sure MacKenzie’s relatives are getting caught up in the speculation.
“I thought we knew nothing about country singers,” he explains. “[Shelton was the] The first country singer I thought of was that tall. I’m still glad I chose Black, even though it was a mistake. We got some great photos in the dark.
Nair added that the whole experience of having to theorize about people’s famous relatives became super “exhausting” as filming progressed. “We pitched a lot of ideas there, spent hours in front of the board, and countless nights where we just woke up in the middle of the night to jot things down,” he said.
Nair noted that watching what happened on the show was even more “surreal,” calling it “an out-of-body experience.” He added that he wasn’t fully aware the House was trying to have him eliminated the week before until he saw the episode on television.
“I discovered a lot more by watching the show, but as I was watching it, I sensed that something was brewing,” he explains. “That’s why I always keep Diedric close to me and keep it in my pocket for as long as possible. That’s why I feel like in the long run he feels good about the things we brainstorm [Adam]. It just happened to not work out because you know Adam had horseshoes.
When Adam reached the final four, Nair admitted he was surprised he had made it this far in the competition. “I still can’t believe we couldn’t get him out,” he said. “It’s crazy. Until this moment, I was like, how many times does this take? You can’t beat television like this. It’s like, wow, I can’t believe it.
Of course, Adam wasn’t the only one fooling the whole house. Not only did Nair have his fellow contestants stumped on the series, but many fans watching at home took a while to guess his celebrity relatives, which Nair admitted was “super flattering.”
“I’m surprised it took Internet sleuths so long to find me,” he joked. “I tried to erase my online footprint and it helped me. It was crazy, especially the time it took. I thought they would have found out earlier, but I did the right thing.
He pointed out that Anthony’s JLo clue was a huge leak. “I know they’re going to find out eventually,” he said of Anthony’s ex-wife, Jennifer Lopez. “I thought they would catch it faster because it was hanging on the board underneath everything. [I was] Trying to stop this as much as possible. But it’s a game we’re playing and eventually everyone gets called out.
Speaking about his famous uncle, Nair noted that Anthony was very supportive of him doing the show, noting that one of his pieces of advice was to be his “honest” self.
“I always try to apply that in my daily life as well,” he added of the words of wisdom he received from his uncle. “I always saw him as a character who was trying to shape himself later. [him]. He has made great progress in life [achieved] Legendary status. It’s an absolutely awesome thing. This is really inspiring and I hope I can be like that one day.
