Ilana Glazer’s Human Magic Is All About Raunchy, Honest Motherhood

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ll know Ilana Glazer from this beloved comedy Broad Cityher stand-up comedy, and maybe her latest movie, hot girl. But the comedian and mom is now focused on launching her latest special, human magic, It will be available on Hulu later this month.

The nearly hour-long special (the perfect length for television for a mom), which she filmed last spring in Toronto, is all about her pregnancy and birth, raising young children, marriage, and everything from her youth to Pop culture now. Oh, and how sexy Aladdin is. She opened with an enthusiasm that all moms can relate to — no matter how tired or sad they are — “I’m the most shocked by the joy.” But of course, in true Ilana Glazer style, she This joy is both embraced and refuted in the special.

Of the birth, she hilariously said: “As she lay on my chest, I said those three magic words to her: ‘Oh my God!'” Oh my God! magic! Human magic! I said to her, “You are magic, I am magic, we are all magic!” I said to my husband, “You witnessed magic; you are so lucky.” It’s us, girls! !

This is the same woman who talked about her movie with Horror Mom earlier this year Beibeipostpartum relationships, and early childhood management. “It’s so hard. It’s so hard!” She told us about the horrific early childhood years. “The needs of the baby are so high, but the personality is so lacking. With a toddler, there’s so much reasoning that you can’t relate to.” Drunk people reason. You can’t reason with them! They all have feelings that their bodies can’t handle. My goal now in this early childhood phase is to remember to gently guide and support those intensity. Feelings. Sounds good.
