The nightmare before christmas is a classic Halloween/Christmas movie (I won’t argue with you; it’s a movie suitable for both holidays and can be watched between September and the end of Christmas), and for good reason, it has become A major cultural phenomenon. People are so obsessed with the film that Jack Skellington and Sally’s family costumes will almost certainly appear on Box or Treat or Halloween night. But listen, I have one major problem with everyone’s love for this movie, and here it is: Jack Skellington Too badanyone who says Jack and Sally are targets must not be watching the same movie as me.
If Jack Skellington were a person in 2024, he would be a Twitter bro. He is a mansplainer, a “visionary” who just wants to follow the vision in his head, no matter how it affects the people and everyone around him. He is the literal Pumpkin King – a revered icon in his hometown of Halloween Town. people like he. They are absolutely obsessed with him and will do anything he says. When he goes missing the day after Halloween, the entire town frantically searches for him.
This whiny little bitch is trying to steal another town’s vacation.
i love The nightmare before christmas. I grew up watching it; it has always been a favorite in our family. My three daughters loved it too, and when we first took our oldest to Disney World, the only souvenir she wanted was a plush version of the teary-faced clown from the opening song. Every Halloween, a zero hangs in the bushes in front of our door.
But Jack Skellington is the worst.
He’s bored…because he’s the king of the entire town. He has a sense of “woe is me,” “I’m so much smarter than any of you, and I’m so angry about having to be a part of your world.” It makes sense why there are so many emotions in our day and age. The girl likes him and calls herself Sally in front of her boyfriend who acts like Jack – who acts like a high school boy who is only told how great he is and how all his ideas are.
When people suggested to him that the idea might not be a good idea, he lost faith. No one believed him; everyone was against him. Can’t they all see that he knows best? He draws everyone into his horrific ideas, destroying two towns in the process.
His own love interest in the movie, Sally, pays zero attention to him unless he needs her to do something for him, until the end of the movie. At no point does he act like a doting partner; it’s just that she chases him and says, “Hey, I think if you try this, you might be ruined?” and he says, “I need you to help me sew a Santa costume.” ,Thanks!”
This man “kidnapped” Santa Claus because he was so sure he could make it through the holiday season (he only understand) better than people who do it all the time.
Jack Skellington is an extremely mediocre white man who thinks he’s better than everyone else. He talks about you in meetings. He will ignore your ideas and present them to your boss as if he came up with them himself. He thinks if you don’t like his ideas, you’re too much of an idiot to understand his big, beautiful brain.
Jack Skellington nearly destroyed his entire town – and the people there live – Because he is convinced that taking away what does not belong to him will eliminate all his boredom. What about the poor residents of Christmas Town? Do they have to let their vacation be completely ruined by a jerk? Sally, there are red flags everywhere, shh. Get out of there.
Even after he’s nearly killed and knocked out of the sky on his makeshift sleigh, he still acts morose and cries before realizing that Halloween might not be so bad after all. he learned zero lesson. Finally, Santa not only brings a snowfall to Halloween Town; appease Jack thinks Christmas can be saved, but Jack still gets the girl.
Jack Skellington, you are the worst person in society. Stay in Halloween Town, Pumpkin King, and maybe listen to Sally once in a while.
