Jana Duggar shows off Nebraska fixer Upper House with new husband Stephen Wissmann

Jana Duggar is sharing an update on her Nebraska fixer-upper!

former Count on The 34-year-old star took her YouTube subscribers on a tour of the house she renovated with her new husband, Stephen Wissmann. In addition to giving a brief introduction to the space, Jana also showed off some demonstrations and enlisted the help of her father, Jim Bob Duggar, and her sisters.

“My dad and some of my sisters came to help us do a demo day on the upper level of the mechanic,” she explains in the video.

Cut to Jim Bob teaching them how to remove a closet door in one of the rooms. She then showed her sisters how to help remove the carpet, a process she called “a little gross” when they discovered moisture underneath.

In another scene, Jim Bob and Weisman work together to tear down one of the walls. Jana wrote in the video: “Of course, our work is fun too!”

Earlier in the video, Jana explains how she and her husband planned to remove the wall between the first and second bedrooms to create a large master suite.

After the walls were removed, she marveled at how “much bigger” the space looked. She also noted how grateful she was to her helpers.

“I’m amazed that a project like this can move so quickly and that there are so many people here volunteering their time and energy to help. We’re so grateful for all the extra workers,” she said.

During a tour of the five-bedroom home, Jana takes viewers downstairs and shows how to transform the spacious living area into a game room or home theater.

Upstairs, she noted they wanted to remove the glossy wood floors in the open kitchen and living space because it was “noisy” to walk on and “never looked clean.” They also removed a closet to make the room feel larger.

“Even though the place feels a little shabby, I have to say that just looking out, I absolutely love the natural light,” she said. “That’s the real strength of this home. There are so many great windows on every side. I can’t wait to see how this place comes together.”
