Jennifer Garner shares sleepy ’70s throwback photo of herself as a kid

Jennifer Garner takes time back to the 1970s!

The 52-year-old actress took to Instagram to share a special message with fans ahead of the holiday weekend, along with a throwback photo from her early days.

On Friday, August 30, Garner shared a snapshot from nearly 50 years ago, showing Alias The alum took a nap on the couch while snuggling with a cat and an open book on her lap.

“I wish you a long weekend with a 1970s couch, books and cats. πŸ’€πŸ˜½,” Garner wrote in the post.

The sweet photo and wish for a long weekend seemed to go down well with Ghanaian followers, with some including comedian Hannah Burner and author Candace Kumay posting supportive comments. “A baby girl and her kitten πŸˆβ€β¬›πŸ©·πŸ₯°πŸˆβ€β¬› are so adorable! No wonder we love you so much,” Xiongai wrote.

Garner is understood to frequently share throwback photos on Instagram to commemorate National Teddy Bear Day, National Middle School Day and various back-to-school celebrations.

While Garner often reflects on the past in her social media uploads, she also tells fans about her current adventures. On Aug. 15, she raved about her recent “dream trip” to Japan, where she visited temples and shrines, posed in Tokyo, enjoyed some ramen and even took photos of oyster farmers catching shellfish.

In her Instagram carousel, Garner shows off a boat trip, a glass of champagne, a water lily and a Japanese movie poster for her latest film, Deadpool and Wolverine.

Garner also spends a lot of time with animals these days. Last month, she shared a light-hearted video on Instagram showing her cat Moose visiting “parts of her home that he had never seen before.”

“Moose asks for a tour. πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ,” she captioned the video, in which she shows the cat around the house to get a closer look at her microwave, refrigerator and fish tank. At the end of the film, she even lets Moose walk on her bed, before the animal’s paws get stuck in the blanket.
