Everyone’s favorite ’90s/early ’00s (and current) heartthrob Joshua Jackson revealed some touching news during an Instagram Live interview with his ex dawson creek Co-stars Sasha Alexander.
The 46-year-old actor opened up about his relationship with 4-year-old daughter Juno Rose Diana, whom he also has with ex-wife actress Jodie Turner-Smith.
Jackson said he recently bought his childhood home back from his parents and said he was excited for his daughter to grow up there.
“I bought this house for my daughter,” he said, before revealing the larger reason for the grand move.
“It became very clear to me this year, since I asked for a divorce, that I kind of thought, you know, of all the dreams you have when you have a baby, what I wanted to model for my daughter was this, which is two parents, this That’s what a man and a woman are in a family, in a happy, healthy relationship,” Jackson continued.
“But last year I realized I’d never experienced my father’s love. And now I’m experiencing it. That’s what this house is for.”
Jackson also called his daughter his “greatest gift” and “North Star.”
“I love being a dad, and I love being her dad. I fail a lot, but I always want to be a good person, but it’s not always an easy path and I don’t always take that path,” he said.
“Now that I’m a father, it makes it easier to lose weight. If it was the wrong decision, as a father, I wouldn’t have made it,” Jackson added.
During a red carpet appearance Dr. Odyssey During the premiere, in which Jackson stars alongside TV legend Don Johnson, he revealed that before he set off, his daughter gave him a very special gift.
“Just before I left … because I was leaving to go to work, she wanted to give me this,” he told Entertainment Tonight before pulling a small rock out of his pocket. “This is a ‘remember me’ stone. So I can think of her while I’m working.
