Madison Prewett pregnant, expecting first child with husband Grant Trout

Madison Prewett is going to be a mom!

Bachelor The 28-year-old alum announced she’s pregnant with her first child with husband Grant Troutt in a heartfelt post on Instagram on Sunday, August 18.

In the post, Prewett shared a maternity photo of herself and Trout, also 28. Shirt and pants The former reality star wore a flowing white dress with black trim.

“WE’RE PREGNANT!!!!!!!!” Prewett captioned the photos, which show her placing her hands on her belly as the couple shows off an ultrasound image. “Baby Trout, we are so ready for you and can’t wait to meet you 🤍🥹.”

Prewett and Trout got engaged in July 2022 after eight months of dating and tied the knot three months later in October 2022.

Their wedding took place at Trout’s parents’ home in Dallas, Texas, and the two exchanged vows in front of 400 friends and family, including Bachelor Victoria Fuller, Hannah Ann Sluss and Kelley Flanagan are beloved across the country.

“We chose this location because it was unique to us and it meant a lot to have all of our friends and family there,” Prewett tells PEOPLE exclusively of the celebration. “I’ve always wanted to get married in the fall and we wanted a short engagement, so this was perfect.”

The couple got engaged just days before their nine-month anniversary.

Prewett said she “had no idea there was a proposal like this,” but that her future husband’s “plans changed several times” before settling on his final idea. He spent weeks planning the beach proposal, and he met with Prewett’s family and friends “constantly” to make sure everything went smoothly.

“He was actually supposed to go to Florida with me and my friends, but he got sick and couldn’t make it,” she explained to People at the time. “I thought we were celebrating a friend’s birthday. I was told we were taking birthday photos on the beach and when I came down, my best friend took me into the bathroom and my mom and sisters were holding my Engage in the clothes you want.

“At that moment, I knew,” she added.

Fans first met Prewett — a speaker, author and social media influencer — as a contestant on Peter Weber Bachelor season, airing in 2020.

Prewett told People that her past experience on the hit ABC show provided her with “opportunities to learn and grow.”

Now, she and Trout are getting along well, and she’s excited to see what their future holds.

“I’ve been waiting for this day my whole life,” she said. “I’m so excited that it’s finally here. He’s everything I’ve prayed for and waited for and dreamed of my whole life. He was definitely worth the wait.”
