Maria Georgas responded to Bachelor Nation’s recent buzz about Devin Strader’s social media activity.
The following bachelorette During the Season 21 finale and Tuesday, September 3, After the Final Rose special, Bachelorette Jenn Tran accused Devin of following Georgas on Instagram the day after he called off their engagement over the phone. Tran and Georgas both competed in Joey Graziadei’s season.
“What I can’t understand is what you did after we broke off our engagement,” Jen told Devin, before calling his decision to follow George “disrespectful of everything we shared together, and I just don’t understand it.” .
“Obviously I let you down,” Devin told Jen. “I have nothing to say beyond that. But, everything I feel about you is true.”
On Thursday, September 5, Mariah, 30, posted a lengthy TikTok response.
“Last night was hard to watch and my heart goes out to Jen,” Mariah began. “I can’t talk about her relationship. The only two people who can talk about her relationship are her and Devon.
“I’m no longer defending my character,” she continued. The fact that I let you watch me through a screen and still see how real I am, I have nothing to say. I understand Jenn has to speak up – say your point, girlfriend, and I respect it. I just think that without the full context, it leads people to believe a completely different narrative.
Mariah went on to confirm that Devon follows her on Instagram, but she doesn’t “follow” who follows her and who doesn’t.
“I didn’t know anything about it until people brought it to my attention,” she explains. “By then, when I found out, he had already called off the trail. Let me clarify something. I had never met Devin before.
However, during After the Rose, Jenn claimed that Devin went “clubbing” with fellow contestant Jeremy Simon Instead of mourning their breakup.
“I have never been with [Devin],” Maria explained. “He did his own thing. Did Jeremy and I go out – spend an evening with friends, a bunch of us together? Yes, I did.
Maria said she plans to meet new people “in real life” and hopes to continue “meeting new people through friends.”
“It’s normal,” Maria added, noting that she would not “apologise” for meeting other people. Bachelor Franchise entrants.

“I can’t control who follows whom,” she continued. “But what I could control was what I did. And what I did was not follow. I never looked back,” she said. “Looking at it now, I’m not going to follow that guy anymore.”
“My character, my innocence, my peace are important to me. I wouldn’t do it for anyone else,” she added.
“Just because [Jenn and I] Just because we went our separate ways and are no longer friends doesn’t mean we hate each other,” she said. “It doesn’t mean that if someone disrespected her to my face, I would sit here and hold on. Because I’m not.
“I’m just a regular guy on a reality show. Don’t hold me to a standard that doesn’t exist,” she concluded.
