From making children’s music to becoming America’s mascot during the 2024 Olympics, Snoop Dogg’s tenderness and vulnerability are truly the gift that keeps on giving.
It’s such a joy to see that the rapper and music label CEO known as “Death Row Records” has an amazing heart of gold. Not surprisingly, Snoopy’s wife seems to be the inspiration for some of his adventures.
In a recent program Today with Hoda and JennaSnoop spoke about how supportive he feels of his wife, Shante Broadus, and listed the reasons why he considers Broadus his “best friend.”
“One is that she always understood who I was and who I needed to be,” he explains. “Then, the second reason is, she’s just my rock, my foundation, my support, my reality, my parenting partner, showing me how to be a better father, a better husband and Better Grandpa.
After the “Snoop” clip went viral, fans praised the rapper for his strong marriage and recognition of his wife.
“The more I learn about Snoopy, the more I love him,” one user wrote.
“This is how a man should talk about his partner,” said another.
Another said: “Snoopy hit the gold medal. Having a kind and strong loving woman is the greatest asset a man can have in his life.
Broadus and Snoop met in high school and attended prom together, according to an adorable throwback post Broadus shared in July 2020.
“Even before he came out[as a musician]our friends and I were fans of his,” Broaddus told in magazine September 2021.
Snoop confirmed this while talking about their early days as a couple, telling today In 2023, his marriage has been happy since high school because they were both willing to work toward each other’s goals.
“We are both young and we are both willing to make sacrifices for each other,” he said. Today with Hoda and Jenna August 2023. “She knows what my dreams and goals are, and I know what her dreams and goals are.”
“Having a family and being ourselves was what we originally wanted to achieve, and when we achieved that, it was really difficult because, you know, you have a lot of different things that are pushing you away from marriage and people every other It’s going to be a divorce one day,” he told Hoda Kotb and Jenna Busch Hager.
“But when you really love someone, there’s nothing you can do to break the relationship, and I think it was love at first sight.”
The couple has three children: Cordé, Cordell and Cori.
